CAMBRIDGE CITY COUNCIL REJECT CLIMATE & ECOLOGICAL EMERGENCY BILL

We are devastated that Cambridge City councillors belonging to the majority Labour group voted to reject support for the Climate & Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill. Having declared a climate emergency, as well as a biodiversity emergency, in 2019, this is utter hypocrisy and petty party politics. The political establishment cannot be trusted. It's time to take direct action.

Why rebel?

We are in the midst of a climate and ecological breakdown. We are facing an uncertain future - our world is in crisis and life itself is under threat.

The global oil company in Cambridge

The University of Cambridge hosts the biggest oilfield services company in the world. We can expose and stop them together.

University of Cambridge must divest

It is time for the University and its colleges to listen to their constituent parts and the city and world they exist in.
